Who Is Christopher?
I was born into a big family of 4 brothers and 3 sisters–and now have many nieces and nephews.
I’ve always had a passion for helping underdogs, seniors, or abandoned and abused animals.
In grade 9, I started attending Canterbury High School of the Arts and later did a Bachelor’s degree in Education at the University of Ottawa and a Creative Writing degree from York University in Toronto.
I started volunteering with seniors at age 16, when I would read to the blind at a care home in the Glebe.
For the past two years, I've worked in hospice care, at bedside, with end-of-life patients, aged 30 to 90. It’s an experience that’s taught me much about life, people, and the incredible journeys we’re all on.
I've also worked with hundreds of seniors during this time.
In my spare time, I like to hike with my beloved dog “Loo”and travel throughout Canada and the world. I also like to read great books, watch good football games, and write fiction and screenplays.
My combination of academic and practical training ensures each client's needs are met with compassion and expertise. I've completed a BEd at University of Ottawa, Grief and Bereavement Training, Accessibility (AODA) Training, Advanced Care Planning, Health & Safety Training, Workplace Violence & Harassment Training, Food Handlers Certification, Non-violent crisis intervention as well as a BA Creative Writing from York University in Toronto.
